City of HAbitation Richland Leadership
City of Habitation Richland is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following are brief bio's of our leadership team and their qualifications for ministry.
Glenn Barling
Senior Pastor
Glenn Barling was appointed to serve as City of Habitation Richland lead Shepherd February of 2025. Prior to that, he has served in many positions of leadership throughout our region and city. As Associate pastor of Youth at Island View Worship Center he assisted in the vision and birthing of many faith-filled ministries.
Pastor Glenn is passionate worshipper, honest and child-like preacher, relational leadership developer, intimate family counselor, and "clear vision" castor! He has a burning desire to lead the City of Habitation with biblical values, encouragement and demonstrated love. Glenn truly cares about the needs of those around him and desires an open dialog from all friends and family that attend. Pastor Glenn takes worship and preaching very seriously, spending the first hours of his day focused on worship and study of God's word.
He graduated from California Baptist University in 1980 with a degree in Education and coaching.
Glenn has been happily married for 43 years to his wonderful wife, Patricia. They have 3 amazing children: Austin Barling, Leatha Hall and Hannah Tedeschi. Glenn and Patricia have 9 precious grandchildren: Cadence, Jessa, Noah, Caleb, Isak, Emily, William, Gabriel and Judah Bear!
Tyler Troutman
Youth Pastor
Tyler Troutman serves as the Youth Pastor at City of Habitation Richland, where he and his wife, Jen(n), passionately lead and teach the next generation how to chase Jesus. Together, they create an environment where youth can find a safe place to grow in godly character, discover their spiritual gifts, and encounter the presence of God in tangible ways.
Tyler’s approach to ministry is deeply relational. His desire is to come alongside a generation who love God deeply, walk in humility, worship passionately, and boldly express their faith through their biblical spiritual gifts.
A worshipper at his core, his passion for Davidic, wholehearted worship — the kind that shouts, dances, and pours out everything before the Lord — defines much of his approach. As David in 2 Samuel 6:22 reminds us, “I will become even more undignified than this…” Tyler carries that same heart of unrestrained devotion and joy, encouraging others to pursue God with freedom, abandon, and authenticity.
Before joining City of Habitation, Tyler interned with Streams Ministries in 2004, an experience that ignited his prophetic call. He later served as an elder at The Bridge Kennewick from 2005–2007, where he continued to grow in leadership.
He often reflects on one of his favorite quotes: “Those who dance are considered insane by those who can’t hear the music.” God doesn’t think like us; His ways are not our ways. It’s important to remember that as we grow into God-chasers.
Tyler and Jen(n) married in 2006 and have four wonderful children: Boaz, Jakin, Abbi, and Benjamin. Outside of ministry, Tyler enjoys playing guitar, cheering on the Seahawks, exploring the galaxy of Star Wars, camping with his family, and diving deep into technology.
