THE FIVE REASONS THE CHURCH EXISTS:

1: Exalt our Master and Good Shepherd - To be in God’s Presence - His Habitation in Worship

  O magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt his name together Ps 34:3

 I was glad when they said to me, let us go to the Lord’s house. Ps 122:1

2: Transform our promised land and mission field – God’s Word at Work - Evangelism and saving the lost!

 The most important thing is that I complete my mission - the work the Lord gave me to do - to tell people the good news about God’s grace.  Acts 20:24

 You will be my witnesses... Acts 1:8

3: Equip and train our people – God’s Family Loving and growing - Activation of fruit

  You are a member of God’s very own family, and you belong in God’s household with every other Christian. Eph. 2:19

4. Educate and activate for maturity – God’s People Growing - Making Disciples

  Building up the Church, the body of Christ, to a position of strength and maturity...until all become full grown in the Lord.  Eph. 4:12b-13

5. Equipped to demonstrate the gospel – God’s Love in Action - Ministry to the lost!

  It was He who gave some to be Apostles, some to be Prophets, some to be Evangelists, and some to be Pastors and Teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach the unity of the faith, in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.  Eph. 4:11-13
